海角社区Records and Registration
The 海角社区 will be closed Monday, December 23 – Friday, January 3, for winter break. Offices will reopen Monday, January 6, for regular business hours.
Some end-of-term processes will continue to run while the University is closed, which may generate automated emails. Continue to check your 海角社区email regularly. Many tasks can be completed by utilizing the information in the email and your myWings account, to avoid long wait times upon our reopening.
Privacy of Student Records and FERPA
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law that affords applicants and students certain rights with respect to their educational records. The intent of this law is to protect the privacy of students and their records.
About the Office
After a student has matriculated at UNF, the Office of Records and Registration handles many of the services a student needs during his or her academic career and beyond. Our job is to handle those needs efficiently and accurately. We work daily with current students, past students, faculty, staff and advisors to provide reliable, friendly service.
Whether it is a simple matter of answering a question or investigating a complex issue, we take pride in knowing that we put forth our best effort every time. Some of our typical student functions include:
- Transcript requests
- Enrollment verifications
- Major changes
- Petitions
- Tuition waivers, and
- Commencement
On the University level, we manage various processes including:
- Setting up and closing down registration cycles
- Registration time ticketing
- Grade processing
- Academic standing processing
- Course catalog maintenance
- Course scheduling, and
- Classroom reservations
Above all else, our number one priority is to ensure the confidentiality of student records in accordance with the provisions of various federal, state, and university regulations, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA).
