Quality and Process Improvement

More and more service industries, including banking, insurance, and healthcare, are seeing the value of continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma culture. Let us help you define complex problems, make changes to increase your productivity and bottom line, and initiate and deploy a quality system or program.

Lean Six Sigma

海角社区Division of Continuing Education offers three levels of Lean Six Sigma: Yellow Belt, Green Belt, and Black Belt. Learn more about each level at /pll/lean-six-sigma.html.

Yellow Belt

The online Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate course is designed to teach Lean Six Sigma (LSS) fundamentals and their application. By incorporating video lectures and meaningful individual exercises based on a case study, this course will prepare you to run small improvement projects in your day-to-day work processes, understand the phases of an improvement cycle, the basic tools and techniques of LSS, and the role of Yellow Belts in LSS projects.

Green Belt

This program provides the tools needed for solving quality problems, improving processes, and creating a more customer-focused environment in your company. A Green Belt certification provides you with the tools needed for analytical problem-solving, critical thinking, and process-improvement skill development.

Black Belt

Learn how to improve customer satisfaction and business productivity by leading teams that execute flawlessly.

In this Black Belt program, you will build on your Green Belt knowledge to be able to identify process problems, lead teams, and analyze data using the DMAIC project process. You will demonstrate your mastery of Black Belt tools by leading a real-world Six Sigma project at your workplace.

The self-paced, instructor-supported program consists of three courses: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Management Skills, Statistics for Lean Six Sigma Black Belts, and the Project Capstone.

Agile Seminar

In today’s complex global business environment, simply responding to change is not enough. Successful leaders are able to anticipate a variety of market influences from new regulatory requirements, technology-driven change, or simply business strategy and manage the change necessary to be successful. By taking a holistic approach to change initiatives, these leaders create an agile work environment while promoting organizational resilience.

In this seminar, we discuss Agile (Agility) from a variety of perspectives. The focus is on the Agile transformation of organizations (not IT). We define what Agile is and why companies now are turning to Agile. We differentiate between an Agile transformation of the entire company or organization and Agile project management. We also compare and contrast Agile with Lean and we discuss what an Agile leader is.

Content Structure

  • The critical success factors (CSF) for organizational change
  • CSF’s based on lessons learned and research related to a variety of change methods
  • The three main categories of the Agile framework: purpose, process, and people
  • The Agile project leadership requirements, strategic alignment, and organizational fit, as well as barriers to successful implementation

Seminar Benefits

You will leave prepared and motivated to assess your organization’s need and capacity to manage change using Agile. Be prepared to leave with a fresh perspective on change management and new insights on being the “change champion” your business needs.
