This event is one of the nation’s largest multi-disciplinary research conferences and is open to undergraduate students in the state of Florida. Every year, the conference is hosted by a different university in the state. In addition to an opportunity to present data in a poster format, students can network with exhibitors from graduate programs from across the country. Registration and travel costs of presenting students can be covered by the Office of Undergraduate Research through the FURC travel award. Students who are awarded the FURC travel award must register to present their work at SOARS. 

 will be held at the University of South Florida's Tampa campus on February 14-15, 2025.

Students can apply to present at FURC 2025 by submitting an abstract by Monday, December 2. 

After they submit their abstract via the USF FURC Abstract portal, º£½ÇÉçÇøstudents seeking travel accommodations should then complete the O.U.R.'s FURC Travel Award application. The FURC Travel Award covers the FURC registration fee, bus travel to/from USF, and double-occupancy hotel accommodations (all arranged by the O.U.R.). The deadline to apply for funding was Friday, December 6 at 11:59 PM. 

NOTE: Students may receive both a FURC travel award and a Conference Presentation Travel Award in the same academic year.
