Timesheets
Employees who are nonexempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act must complete a timesheet for all hours worked, including paid leave. It is imperative that timesheets are completed in Workday each pay period to ensure you are paid in a timely manner and to avoid disruption to your benefits coverage.

Compensatory Time
Employees may elect to receive compensatory time in lieu of cash payment for any hours worked over 40 in a workweek (UPD officers have special rules regarding compensatory time found in their collective bargaining agreement). Employees receive 1.5 hours of compensatory time for each hour worked over 40 hours in a workweek. Employees must complete Overtime/Compensatory Time Agreement in Workday in order to receive compensatory time. Otherwise, you will receive cash payment for your overtime.
