Individualized Supervised Practice Pathway (ISPP)
ISPP at UNF: A Comprehensive Dietetic Internship Opportunity
The 海角社区 offers an Individualized Supervised Practice Pathway (ISPP), made possible by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND), the accrediting agency for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (Website: , Address: 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2190, Chicago, IL 60606-6995. Phone: (312) 899-0040 ext. 5400 Email: ACEND@eatright.org).
The Individualized Supervised Practice Pathway of 海角社区is a distance dietetic internship track that allows motivated candidates the opportunity to find and utilize facilities/agencies in the candidate's community and other locations and complete the required supervised practice competencies with minimal supervision.
In February 2024, ACEND announced the end of the ISPP pathway to RD registration. The existing program that 海角社区offers as the ISPP option for unmatched applicants who hold a DPD verification statement and/or a doctorate in nutrition or a nutrition-related field, has until August 1, 2026, to complete the program. This is a non-degree-seeking program offered through the 海角社区.
Pathway to Becoming a Registered Dietitian at UNF
The 海角社区 (UNF) Individualized Supervised Practice Pathway (ISPP) within the accredited Dietetic Internship Program provides interns with supervised practice experience required to fulfill the competencies for becoming a Registered Dietitian. As of January 1, 2024, a master’s degree is required for entry-level practice. All ISPP interns must have a Master’s or Doctorate degree upon admission or must be enrolled in a graduate degree program as stated above. If the intern does not have a master’s degree, this must be completed within one year of the ISPP program to receive the verification statement. Upon successful completion of the ISPP and graduate degree, each ISPP intern will receive a verification of completion and be eligible to take the National Registration Examination for Dietitians.
Curriculum Specific Information
