Spring 2025 Housing Contract Information
The Spring 2025 海角社区Housing Contract released in myHousing on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 12 noon (Eastern time):
Please review all of the information carefully as demand for on-campus bed space is high. Here is information to consider prior to submitting a Spring 2025 Housing Contract:
- Any 海角社区student who will be registered for 海角社区classes for Spring 2025 and has a desire to live on-campus for Spring 2025 should fully complete the Spring 2025 Housing Contract as soon as possible.
- The earlier a student fully completes the Housing Contract process in myHousing, which includes the submission of a one-time non-refundable $100.00 processing fee, the higher priority the student has to be placed within a bed space over students who contract at a later date.
The submission of the 海角社区Housing Contract does not guarantee a specific type of accommodation (community, room type, etc.) or assignment to any preference indicated by student are requests only and not guaranteed. - Housing and Residence Life anticipates accepting Spring 2025 Housing Contracts until no later than December 1, 2024. Please note, if housing contract submissions are outpacing the anticipated supply of available beds, Housing and Residence Life may stop taking housing contacts earlier than December 1, 2024 which is why students are encouraged to fully complete the Spring 2025 Housing Contract as soon as possible.
- Once a student submits a 海角社区Housing Contract, it is imperative that the student monitor their 海角社区e-mail account.
Housing Assignments
The process to ultimately receive a bed assignment is a multiple step process and requires students to take specific required actions.
STEP 1 (Required Action by Student):
Fully submit the Spring 2025 Housing Contract in , which includes the submission of a one-time non-refundable $100.00 processing fee, as soon as possible.
STEP 2 (Handled by Housing and Residence Life):
There will not be an on-line room selection event for Spring 2025 bed space as Housing and Residence Life will handle the assignment process behind the scenes.
All students will be assigned to partially occupied rooms/suite/apartments as the vast majority of Fall 2024 residents will return for Spring 2025. While Housing and Residence Life will take into account each student’s preferences, assignment to a specific type of accommodation (community, room type, etc.) or assignment to any preference indicated by student are requests only and not guaranteed.
Housing and Residence Life staff will begin making assignments behind the scenes as early as November 8th and will provide an initial assignment update via e-mail to each contracted student on November 22nd.
STEP 3 (Required Action by Assigned Students):
Housing move-in will occur on Friday, January 3, 2025. Each assigned resident will be provided an initial move-in appointment between 9 a.m. and 12 noon on January 3rd, which will outline the earliest the student will be able to visit Osprey Clubhouse (Building 17) to receive key access. Final assignment and move-in details, including initial move-in appointment times, will be sent to each assigned student via e-mail the afternoon of December 13th. If a student wishes to arrive later than January 3rd the process details to move-in late will be provided in the December 13th e-mail communication.
Housing and Residence Life cannot accommodate move-in earlier than January 3, 2025. Visit the following link for a listing of preferred 海角社区area hotels if there is a desire or need to be in the 海角社区area prior to your assigned move-in appointment -
The Department of Housing and Residence Life will be open and operating during normal business hours each Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. while the University is open.
