Fraternity and Sorority Life Theme Community
The Fraternity and Sorority Life theme community is a vibrant and dynamic residential community designed to support the unique needs of Greek life members. This community fosters a strong sense of unity, tradition and collaboration among its residents. This environment not only enhances the collegiate experience but also attracts students who value a community-oriented lifestyle, making their time in college both memorable and impactful.
Eligibility & Course Requirements
To be considered for themed housing, students must meet the following criteria:- Active membership in a recognized fraternity or sorority affiliated with the university.
- Demonstrated commitment to the values of FSL, including leadership, service and academic achievement.
- Submission of a housing application, including an essay or statement explaining their interest in living in themed housing and how they will contribute to the community.
- Must be classified as a sophomore or higher.
- Agreement to abide by all community and university housing policies, including participation in mandatory programming and events.
Objectives
- Develop leadership skills through participation in community governance, chapter activities, and collaborative initiatives.
- Foster a strong sense of community and belonging by engaging in shared traditions, social events, and service projects.
- Enhance academic performance through access to dedicated study spaces and peer support networks.
- Strengthen organizational and interpersonal skills by coordinating events and managing communal responsibilities.
- Cultivate an appreciation for sustainability by living in an environmentally conscious community and participating in green initiatives.
