Best Dressed Room Contest
Welcome!
Welcome to the Best Dressed Room Contest hosted by 海角社区Housing and Residence Life! Show off your creativity and school spirit by decorating your on-campus room for a chance to win big. Winners will receive gift bags filled with 海角社区swag and merchandise. Submissions are due by 11:59 PM on January 26, 2024.
Award Categories:
- 海角社区Spirit Award – Recognizes the room with the most school pride and 海角社区spirit.
- Director's Choice Award – Selected by the Housing and Residence Life Director for standout creativity and design.
- Best Dressed Top Pick – Awarded to the top picked decorated room based on style, creativity, and overall impact.
- Best Room Tour Video – Submit a short video tour to showcase your room and creativity.
Submissions will automatically be considered for the 海角社区Spirit Award and Director’s Choice Award. To be eligible for the Best Room Tour Video, upload a video link through the entry form (We recommend a hidden youtube link).
Rooms will be judged on the following criteria:
- Style – Cohesiveness and overall aesthetic
- Creativity – Unique and innovative design
- Detail – Attention to small elements and personalized touches
- Best Use of Space – Functional and efficient use of the room
- Overall Impact – Wow factor and visual appeal
In double or triple occupancy rooms must have all roommate must agree to participate and consent to the room being photographed and published if selected as finalists. Suite style and apartment style private rooms can be entered individually. Submissions must not contain any Housing and Residence Life policy violations.
