2025/2026 Housing Information for students not in the Current Resident or First-year Student Groups
Any admitted student not in the Current Resident or First-year Student Groups who has a desire to live on-campus for the 2025/2026 academic year should submit their housing contract as soon as possible, but no later than March 1, 2025.
The process to ultimately receive a bed assignment is a multiple step process and requires students to take specific required actions.
Follow the Steps Below
STEP 1 (Required):
Fully submit the 2025/2026 Housing Contract in as early as possible
Students submitting their first housing contract will be required to submit a one-time non-refundable $100.00 processing fee to fully submit their housing contract
The earlier a student fully completes all steps of the housing contract submission process in myHousing, the higher priority the student has to participate in on-line room selection process.
STEP 2 (Optional):
Following submission of the 2025/2026 Housing Contract in myHousing, complete the Living-Learning Community application
Please note: Once a student fully completes the Housing Contract, including payment of the $100.00 processing fee (if applicable), the student can refresh their browser and submit an Living-Learning Community application

STEP 3 (Required):
Fully participate in the upper-class on-line room selection process to select a bed space.
Please note: A student failing to participate in a scheduled on-line room selection processes lowers the student’s overall priority to be assigned to a bedspace. Additionally, failure to participate in a scheduled on-line room selection processes does not release a student from the housing contract terms and conditions.

STEP 4 (Required):
Schedule a move-in appointment via myHousing.
Information on the move-in process and how to schedule a move-in appointment will be released mid-July 2025.
Living-Learning Community (LLC) participants move-in will occur via appointment on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. There will not be an opportunity for assigned LLC participants to move-in earlier than August 13, 2025. Move-in for the remaining students (Non-LLC students) will occur via appointment on Saturday, August 16, 2025. There will not be an opportunity for move-in earlier than August 16, 2025. Housing Areas
What housing areas and room types will be available for when the on-line room selection process begins?
When the on-line room selection process begins, you can expect to see the following room types. As the on-line room selection process continues hour-by-hour students can anticipate the number of available rooms/beds in each facility will decrease as students participate in the process.
Osprey Fountains
Approximately 800 bed spaces. Approximately half of the bed spaces will be for females and half for males. All suites will be private bedrooms with shared bathrooms in 4 or 5 person suites. Approximately 420 bed spaces. Approximately half of the beds will be for females and half for males. Approximately 200 of these bed spaces are in 1-bedroom apartments (2 students per bedroom). The Flats at UNF
Approximately 474 bed spaces. Approximately half of the apartments and beds will be for females and half for males. Approximately 192 of these bed spaces are in 2-bedroom apartments. - Please note, students who select a bedspace at The Flats at 海角社区will be in a longer-term Housing Contract that includes Fall 2025, Spring 2026 and Summer 2026.
- The Flats at 海角社区contract is approx. a 11.5-month contract, paid in 12 rent installments.
Consider The Flats at 海角社区if…
- You need year-round housing (fall, spring and summer)
- You appreciate the ability to make rent installments
- You want traditional apartment living with an individual contract
The Flats at 海角社区is not for you if…
- You do not anticipate the need for year-round housing (fall, spring and summer)
- You will be engaging in an internship, student teaching/practicum or study-abroad experience that will take you away from Jacksonville
- You will be graduating at the end of the fall or spring semester and plan to leave Jacksonville
New Honors Residence Hall (more information coming soon)
Approximately 250 bed spaces are for upper-class students. Approx. half of the bed spaces will be for females and half for males. There will be 4 person suites (all private bedrooms) with a shared bathroom. There will also be 2 bedroom private suites (2 private bedrooms) with a shared bathroom. Private rooms may be utilized to accommodate medical and disability needs as determined by 海角社区Student Accessibility Center.
Please note the following:
Once a student submits a 海角社区Housing Contract, it is imperative that student actively monitor their 海角社区e-mail account for specific information and timelines associated with the on-line room selection process, move-in appointment scheduling and other pertinent information.
To accommodate medical and disability needs as determined by the 海角社区Student Accessibility Center, Housing and Residence Life may make adjustments to occupancy levels in some room types.
Preparing for Upper-Class Room Selection
Between now and February 2025, those upper-class students with a completed housing contract will need to ensure they have read and completed the following, as applicable:
- Ensure ALL room and roommate preferences within myHousing are up to date.
- Search AND mutually accept your desired roommate(s) in myHousing. Please note the following:
- Both you AND your desired roommate(s) must be in the same Roommate Group to be considered as a mutual request.
- It is important to be pro-active in accepting or declining roommates within myHousing to prevent any issues during the Room Selection process.
- Some rooms/apartments/suites and/or individual bed spaces may not be available for assignment during the room selection process due to Living-Learning Communities, Theme Housing, ADA needs, etc. Housing and Residence Life will communicate directly with students impacted by their space being unavailable prior to the on-line room selection process.
- The earlier a student fully completes the Housing Contract process in myHousing, which includes the submission of a one-time non-refundable $100.00 processing fee, the higher priority the student has to be placed within a bed space over students who contract at a later date.
The submission of the 海角社区Housing Contract does not guarantee a specific type of accommodation (community, room type, etc.) or assignment to any preference indicated by student are requests only and not guaranteed. - Once a student submits a 海角社区Housing Contract, it is imperative that the student monitor their 海角社区e-mail account.
