Advising Hours and Operations

Advising office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Advising appointments and walk-ins are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Students requesting an appointment at 8 a.m. or 4:30 p.m. should contact their academic advisor directly for arrangements.

Advising Options

Advisors are available for a mixture of in-person and virtual walk-ins/ appointments. Virtual communications may be conducted via phone, email, or Zoom. To view the advising options and to schedule an advising appointment, please refer to the information below.

Walk-ins

Students may walk-in at any time during office hours to be seen by an advisor. It is recommended that students refer to their advisor’s schedule via myWings to view dedicated walk-in hours as students that visit outside of these hours are subject to a longer wait period. Students with a scheduled advising appointment will have priority over students that visit outside of the dedicated walk-in hours.

Appointments

Students have the option of selecting an in-person campus appointment or a virtual appointment* via phone or Zoom. Students should check their advisor’s schedule in myWings to view appointment availability. *Students selecting a virtual appointment should indicate in the notes section if they prefer a phone or Zoom appointment. The advisor will call the number provided or send a Zoom link for the appointment depending on meeting preference.

Virtual Advising Days

Each advisor has a day where they will be working remotely. On these days, appointments and walk-ins for the appropriate advisor are only available through virtual methods. Students requesting an appointment should indicate if they would prefer a phone or Zoom appointment. Virtual drop-ins are available on remote days from 9 to 10:30 am and 2 to 3:30 pm. Students can participate in the virtual drop-in sessions by joining the virtual waiting room at the link provided below.

*Academic advising is provided to all students in the college. Students’ failure to seek advisement has historically resulted in scheduling problems, incomplete certification requirements, and delayed program completion. The College is not responsible for problems due to students’ failure to consult with advisors.
