The Florida Public Health Review
The Florida Public Health Review [The Review] is an international open-access peer-reviewed public health journal indexed in Google Scholar, EBSCO, the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Global Health, and CABI Full Text.
The Review was started in 2004 through a partnership between the University of South Florida College of Public Health and the Florida Public Health Association, with Dr. Robert J. McDermott as Founding Editor. From August 2013 to April 2019, the Review was housed and published under the leadership of Dr. Mary P. Martinasek at the University of Tampa, College of Natural and Health Sciences, and edited in the Department of Health Sciences and Human Performance.
Aims and Scope
The Florida Public Health Review aims to provide students, public health professionals, researchers, and other members of the public health community with opportunities to improve their knowledge of emerging public health topics. The Review features articles that focus on:
- public health research
- commentaries addressing contemporary public health issues
- evaluation of public health programs, and
- other topics that contribute to the public health profession in Florida and beyond.
