is an additional resource for students who want an overview of how to become a healthcare administration, healthcare executive, or medical and health service manager. It includes a four-step breakdown, frequently asked questions, and average salaries across the United States.
Brooks College of Health Professional Development Center
Student career preparation services are available through the Brooks College of Health Professional Development Center, located on the second floor in the Brooks College of Health. Students receive assistance with all stages of their job search process; including resume editing, cover letter writing, and interview techniques.
海角社区Writing Center
The 海角社区Writing Center works one-on-one with students to craft individualized strategies to strengthen their writing for class, research, and career application.
The Brooks College of Health hosts a Health Fair each semester to enhance career opportunities for students. Our extensive alumni network provides additional support and career opportunities for students.
Student Organizations
The Osprey Involvement Center at 海角社区consists of more than 230 registered student organizations (RSOs).
Health Administration Student Association
is the 海角社区's student chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). HASA encourages the growth of future healthcare leaders by hosting networking events, providing curriculum-based application opportunities, and fostering professional growth. By stimulating students and professionals in the Northeast Florida community, HASA's fundraising initiatives support member attendance at the ACHE Annual Congress on Healthcare Leadership each year to expand knowledge and further develop leadership skills. Through these activities, HASA is able to connect, develop, and lead members to success.
Upsilon Phi Delta Health Administration Honor Society
The 海角社区 chapter of serves high-achieving students pursuing a degree in healthcare administration. UPDelta's primary objective is to enhance student academic experiences by building professional relationships and developing interpersonal skills. Membership is offered to select students who meet the standards of this national honor society.
Cultural Diversity
At the 海角社区, we embrace the diversity and culture of our student body and faculty. The Department of Health Administration supports global health by offering study abroad trips each spring in addition to offering a Global Health certificate. In March 2017, health administration students traveled to Hungary and Austria to learn about their healthcare systems. In 2018, students will have an opportunity to visit London to gain a better understanding of the United Kingdom's universal healthcare system.
