海角社区alum excited for the opportunity to serve others in her role at MedNexus

Hannah Boudreaux HeadshotHannah Boudreaux ('20), MedNexus coordinator, is a proud Jacksonville native and 海角社区alum with a bachelor's degree in social studies education. In her current role, she assists in the daily operations of MedNexus, often multitasking between several projects at once from website maintenance duties to fostering relationships with the local healthcare community. In her spare time, she enjoys staying active and spending time with her dog Rado, a five-year-old border collie-pointer mix.

What were your career aspirations growing up?

I have always wanted to work in a field that focuses on helping others. I like to see the impact of serving others.

What led you to the opportunity to work at UNF?

I wanted a career change and had several friends that worked at 海角社区that could not recommend it enough. 

In your current role at UNF, what are your specific duties?

All things MedNexus — Palm Coast programs, Simulation center scheduling and working with the Brooks College of Health liaisons.

Describe a typical workday for you?

I bounce around from main campus to our Deerwood location, where my office is located. I am typically in meetings discussing future and current MedNexus projects, working on our website or answering emails. 

What do you enjoy most about working at UNF?

The community. Having grown up in Jacksonville, attended 海角社区sports camps growing up, and then graduated from UNF, it's great to see familiar faces and to see how much the campus has grown. 

Are you involved in any activities/clubs/organizations on or off campus that you care to share?

I am a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (PEO) that works to promote education for women. 

Do you have a favorite spot on campus? If so, where is it and why is it your favorite?

Lot 18 — It reminds me to stay humble.

What is one memory you treasure?

When my dad would "magically" come home after being out to sea when I was little. 

What’s at the top of your bucket list?

Travel to Greece.

Who/what inspires you to be your best?

My faith in Jesus.

What is the best advice you've been given?

Comparison is the thief of all joy.

What do you like to do for fun (hobbies)?

Rock climb, go to the beach, walk my dog and watch every streaming service ever made. 

What is a fun fact about you many people may not know?

I was a middle school teacher in Duval County for four years.
