海角社区premieres episode of The College Tour streaming online now and on Amazon Prime this spring

海角社区President Moez Limayem and College Tour host Alex BoylaneThe 海角社区 is featured in the 11th season of The College Tour, a video series streaming on Amazon Prime. The 海角社区episode takes viewers behind the scenes to hear from 10 current students about all aspects of college and campus life, from housing to research and study abroad opportunities.  

Monday evening, the University hosted a premiere viewing of the 海角社区episode at the Student Union for the students who star in the show as well as all faculty, staff and students who could attend. The College Tour co-founder and host Alex Boylan joined President Limayem as emcees for the event.  

The 30-minute episode was produced on campus in the fall and is now live on the 海角社区website and 海角社区YouTube channel. It can also be viewed on and will be released on May 28 on .  

Eight of the ten students featured in the 海角社区College Tour EpisodeWhile prospective students are encouraged to visit 海角社区in person to learn about all the University has to offer, The College Tour offers a comprehensive virtual tour for those who want to get an introduction to the campus before visiting.  

The stars of the show are 10 students who each tell about their own experiences at the University: 

  • Senior Victor Ritz discusses coastal resiliency and environmental impact 
  • Sophomore Gabi Bynum focuses on campus involvement 
  • Graduate student Mahalia White spotlights leading on and off the court 
  • Sophomore Hadley Woodall talks about the great outdoors 
  • Senior Ben Mayfield explains research opportunities 
  • Sophomore Rose Baker discusses study abroad options 
  • Graduate student Isaiah Dorado shows housing and amenities 
  • Junior Jessica Hasty explores the benefits of learning in a healthcare hub 
  • Senior Kenneth Wright highlights of the military-friendly and welcoming aspects of the campus 
  • Senior Rachel Paul talks about community engagement opportunities.  

The episode also features President Moez Limayem talking about why its beneficial for students to study in Jacksonville, including having access to Jacksonville’s thriving business community. In addition, students and parents can watch a digital series featuring a longer conversation with Limayem, Coffee with the President, as well as Ask Admissions and Navigating Financial Aid.
