President Limayem receives award from the National Academy of Inventors
海角社区President Moez Limayem was awarded the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) Sentinel Award in late June at their 12th Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C. for his many contributions to innovation and invention. President Limayem has been an honorary NAI member for several years and previously served as a principal investigator for the organization.
The award, first introduced by the NAI last year, acknowledges individuals whose actions and support help fulfill the NAI's mission to continually recognize inventors with U.S. patents and enhance the visibility of academic technology and innovation. Past award winners include:
- Dr. Karen Burg
Vice President for Research, Harbor Lights Endowed Chair, Department of Small Animal Medicine and Surgery, University of Georgia, AAAS-Lemelson Invention Ambassador
- Dr. Robert Duncan
Current President's Distinguished Chair in Physics, Former Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of Missouri, Former Senior Vice President for Research at Texas Tech University
- Mr. Andrei Iancu
Former Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office
