Digital Marketing and Culture in Nantes and Paris, France

The School of Communication and Coggin College of Business Study Abroad program to France is designed to introduce students to the opportunities and challenges involved in developing strategies and for implementing communication, marketing, and business plans for global markets. Students will spend two weeks in the charming and historic city of Nantes, France enrolled in courses taught by international faculty members of Audencia Business School, a university dedicated to upper-level business and communication studies. Visits to historical and cultural sites including museums, castles and landmarks will also be explored within Nantes. Students will then spend three days touring Paris. The group will explore the city via an open bus tour and a cruise on the River Seine. Students can also visit various other landmarks throughout Paris during their stay. 

This cross-disciplinary study abroad program is led by faculty from the College of Arts and Sciences, and co-lead by faculty from the Coggin College of Business.

Meeting Dates

Preparatory class meetings take place during the Summer 2025 semester.  Meeting days/times will be finalized by late March and visible when you register for the 海角社区course through myWings. 

Courses & Prerequisites

Coggin students will earn credit for the following course during the summer semester:

  • MAR3XXX Digital Economy, Marketing Technology, and Culture (prerequisite = MAR3023 Principles of Marketing)

Participants

Up to 10 Coggin undergraduate students who meet the above prerequisite(s).

Cost

Students pay for three credit hours of 海角社区Summer 2025 tuition and fees for this study abroad course plus a program fee to cover most travel expenses.  For details on the program fee, contact the faculty leader(s) below.

Planned Visits

Visits planned as part of this study abroad program include the following:

  • 10 weekday classes (Mon-Fri) at
  • Nantes city tour
  • Paris city tour
  • Optional weekend activities with faculty leaders (not part of the program fee)
    • Evening Seine River cruise
    • L'Open Bus Paris tour

The above visits are tentative until finalized closer to travel dates.

Logistics

Students will be in shared accommodations.  Accommodations and in-country transportation are included in the program fee, along with a few meals.  Students book their own flights with the guidance of the faculty leaders.

Nantes is located in the western part of France, approximately 50 kilometers from the Atlantic coast.
