Description:
There is only one species of Sequoia. It is an evergreen relative of Florida's native bald cypress. Coast redwood is native to coastal California. This is one of the largest tree species in the world. Redwood can be very long lived. One tree is known to be over two thousand years old. Redwood timber is rot resistant and was once used extensively for outdoor construction. This variety, 'Majestic Beauty' was selected for its dense growth and pendant branches.

Large tree capable of reaching over three hundred feet in height.
Care Instructions:
Light: full sun to part shade
Water: moist soil, not drought tolerant
Soil: best in a moist, low pH soil
This plant was contributed by Jacksonville landscape designer, Larry O'Neil. Little is known about this tree's success in northeast Florida. Plants have been grown successfully in the southeastern United States.
