Artemisia lactiflora 'Limelight' - Limelight artemesia

Description:

The genus Artemesia contains about three hundred species and ranges through Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America. It is an interesting genus in the daisy family. It includes dusty miller, wormwood, absinthe, and the sage brush of the American West. Garden plants are grown for their foliage. The flowers are not showy. Many species have aromatic foliage and are used by people for medicines and flavorings. One species gives vermouth its flavor.

Water: grows faster in a moist soil, drought tolerant when established

Soil: well-drained, otherwise adaptable

Limelight artemesia is perennial garden plant that is cultivated for its yellow and green variegated foliage. It grows about twelve to eighteen inches tall and can spread rapidly in a moist, well-drained site making it suitable for use as a groundcover. It is native to China.
